Dotting the coast are the mansions. Turn of the century symbols of wealth. Carriages, servants, privileged summers by the sea. So large- many were torn down. Making way for the new McMansions. Reflections of a time past?
Provence. Artists come for the light. As do the flowers. When they die they still live. Dried, and fragrant in sacks for sale. I'll take a kilo of rosebuds please.
Today is SPRING! I remember one spring in the English country- side. Didn't know about "lambing season." Everywhere you looked, too cute newborns were frolicking on the green. Jumping for joy at being alive. Just like today!
The room is darkening. The last of the sunset glows. Through the window. Terra cotta panes reflect on the Tuscan picture on the wall. Like fire. Firenze.
