Winter painted

Take the landscape.
As gray as winter.

Add some color:

Blue up the sky,

Grow the fields green,

Streak a sunset,

et voila-
it's spring, summer, or fall.

Firebird ballet

In Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird is half-woman, half-bird.
In folklore The Firebird, a "heat bird", is large with majestic plumage that glows brightly emitting red, orange, and yellow light. Like a bonfire. A flame. The feathers keep glowing even if removed and can light a large room. The mystery of the feather has illuminated the hearts of men for many years.

[See my other ballet paintings here]

Pastel, 8x10, $150.
SOLD [Pennslyvania]

Sweet Child of Mine-Brothers

[He's] got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky

Now and then when I see [his] face
[He] takes me away to that special place
And if I stare too long, I'd probably break down and cry

Whoa, oh, oh, sweet child o' mine
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, sweet love of mine

[He's] got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I'd hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain

[His] hair reminds me of a warm, safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by

Whoa, oh, oh, sweet child o' mine
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, sweet love of mine

Where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?

Now now now now now now now
Sweet child, sweet child o' mine

Sweet Child O' Mine lyrics, Songwriters: Steven Adler, Saul Hudson, Michael Mckagan, Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin.

Guitarman, pastel Bohoy

Guitar Man Lyrics by David Gates:

Who draws the crowd and plays so loud
Baby it's the guitar man
Who's gonna steal the show
You know, baby, it's the guitar man

He can make you love
He can make you cry
He will bring you down
Then he'll get you high
Somethin' keeps him goin'
Miles and miles a day
To find another place to play

...Somethin' keeps him driftin'
Miles and miles away
Searchin' for the songs to play

... Either way
Got to play
Either way
Got to play

Pastel, 8x10. SOLD
